International Conference "Trends and Challenges of Female Engineers in Logistics and Traffic"
We invite you to the International Conference "Trends and Challenges of Female Engineers in Logistics and Traffic" organized by the Engineering Academy of Serbia in cooperation with the Association of Women in Logistics and under the auspices of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia. Co-organizers of the conference are the Union of Engineers and Technicians of Serbia and the Equal Opportunities Association.
GOAL OF THE CONFERENCE
The conference aims to point out the state, trends and challenges of female engineers in the field of logistics and traffic in achieving competitiveness, sustainable development and gender equality in the conditions of dynamic changes in the economic and social environment, market and user requirements. Global market trends require adequate planning of sustainable logistics and traffic processes and systems in order to perform successful business strategies and achieve sustainable development goals. The expected results of the conference are guidelines for improving logistics and traffic in accordance with environmental trends, integrating new technologies, circular economy, principles of sustainability and gender equality in all levels of planning, designing and managing activities, processes and systems in the fields of logistics and traffic.
New Statute of Academy approved
On sessions of the Council of Academy, held on January 18th and January 25th 2010, new Statute of Engineering Academy harmonized with Law on Associations, was approved. The name of Academy was changed in Engineering Academy of Serbia.
In accordance with new Statute of Academy, Assembly operations ceased on January 25th 2010. Function of Assembly, in accordance with new Statute, will be performed by the Council of Academy.
The Assembly of Academy worked and performed its duties from June 26th 2000, till January 25th, 2010. In this period presidents of Academy Assembly were: Mr. Branislav Vujinović, Mr. Stevan Šamšalović and Mr. Mihailo Milojević.
Council of Academy consists of all full and corresponding members of Academy, and performs all duties and tasks of former Assembly.
Engineering Academy of Serbia is registered with Serbian Business Registers Agency as of February 1st, 2010.
New Academy Leadership elected
On its 22 session, held on January 25th, 2010, Council of Engineering Academy of Serbia elected new Leadership of Academy.
Prof. Ljubiša Kuzović, PhD was elected for the President of Academy.
Prof. Branislav Nikolić, PhD and Mr. Branislav Vujinović MSc will perform the duties of Vice-presidents of Academy in next term, while Prof. Petar Jovanović, PhD was elected for the Secretary of Academy.
Session of the Academy Council
On June 22nd 2010, the solemn session of the Council of Engineering Academy of Serbia will be held.
Agenda:
- Academy activities in last 10 year period
- Delivering of Charters to a members of Academy responsible for founding of Academy
- Delivering of Monographs to Donors
- Delivering of Monographs to members of Academy
The session will be held in House of Engineers “Nikola Tesla”, Kneza Miloša 9, Belgrade in the conference hall on the 3rd floor.
Monograph of Engineering Academy of Serbia
This Monograph is published on occasion of tenth anniversary of Engineering Academy. Engineering Academy is founded on June 26th, 2000, as Yugoslav Academy of Engineering – JINA. Under this name the Academy existed and performed its activities till January 25th 2010, when new Statute of Academy was adopted and its name changed in Engineering Academy of Serbia.
